FLY is a volunteer-driven non-profit providing free Mathematics and Life Skills tutoring to high school learners from disadvantaged communities every Saturday, since February 2010.

From learner to volunteer tutor

Many of FLY's tutors were once FLY learners. This is the real pathway a FLY student walks, and why your seat tonight funds the next learner to walk it too.

    Joins FLY's Saturday Maths and Life Skills programme, free of charge, with a hot lunch included.

    Graduate

    Achieves a bachelor pass in Grade 12, supported by bursary and university application assistance.

    Professional

    Completes tertiary study and enters the workforce as an accountant, engineer, doctor, or other professional.

    Volunteer Tutor

    Returns to FLY on Saturdays to tutor the next generation of learners, closing the circle.

Is this event open to the public?

Individual tickets are open to everyone. Table and sponsorship packages are reserved for invited corporate partners.

How do I get an invitation code?

Codes are included in your FLY invitation email or letter. If you believe you should have one and do not, use the waitlist form on the Sponsors page.

Do I get a tax receipt for my contribution?

Yes. FLY is a registered PBO/NPO and issues Section 18A donation receipts for contributions beyond the standard table price, in line with SARS guidelines.

Can I pay by direct EFT instead of card?

Yes. FLY's banking details are available on request. Contact the fundraising team below.

What is the refund policy?
